This little sports car was equipped with a small, high reeving engine engine with a not commonly found chain transmission for the rear wheels. As this was a “wild racer” I imagined it to have an upgraded engine, with more torque and so, using most of the kit parts, modified the rear transmission and suspensions to accommodate a more conventional rear live axle. A great number of years ago (this was back in 2007), the forum Scale Plastic Cars organized a contest with a 60’s era theme. At the time, Tamiya‘s Honda S800 was the only car model from the 60’s I had at home. Sport and classic cars are another preferred theme for my modelling projects. It was in places like (the now extinct) BMC (Brian Model Cars) and Italian Horses that I came into contact with several techniques used in scale car modelling and this exposure to different ways of doing things improved my model making skills significantly.
